a pragmatist is someone who doesnt care how the goal is reached just that it is. if their goal is not to hurt some one then they may just lie to the person or not tell them anything, whereas someone less pragmatic may feel bad about lieing or acting behind the persons back and so feel obliged to tell them

My family wouldn't have an issue with it, but then again they wouldn't know I've said it. In my family I am treat as an adult an individual and am able to speak freely. Though I would never swear or speak to an adult like that, it's just disrespectful.
