Is it wrong?

my grandfather on my dad's side had just passed away
he lives in vietnam so i wont be able to see him
i dont really talk to my dad anymore

i've only met my grandpa once and i really dont like my dad's side of the family

of course i'm going to show my respects for him and all at church but i dont really know him so i dont really feel sad

is it wrong to not feel sad?

first off, Sorry for you'res and you're familys' loss..
But,

Noo, it's not bad. .you don't really know him he was more or less a stranger.

My grandma passed away like..8 years ago and honestly everyone was crying and i was looking around and was like ' who was this girl '

People handle death in different ways.
It's ok for you to not miss someone who hasn't been a part of your life.
But it's good that you still respect his passing, even though he wasn't a part of your life, he was a part of your loved ones and all funerals, are a celebration of one's life...

If you can, try and learn some stuff about him so you understand why everyone is going to miss him.

Feeling sorry is for the people youlove not for your family necessasarily , and as you don't know him well , there is nothing wrong not to feel sorry for him

Well its normal to feel sad thats if you knew them, but how can you feel SO sad when you didnt even know him, by how i see, he was just like a stranger with the same blood as you so no its alright not to feel sad
