Default Unsure/ Depressed?

Depressed?

Many Teenager suffer from depression or maybe just feeling down and having mixed emotions, I made this to help you make the first steps in identifying why you're feeling way and then how you could deal with the problem and make a change. I hope that this could help someone with their problems.

Your Life Style
To some people this might just seem like people complaining and not doing anything about it, but for some people can be a very hard problem to deal with and fix by themselves. This one does however require YOU to do most the work in getting better. Generally speaking this means you feel unhappy with the life your living. This may be because you don't do things you enjoy, you don't socialize often, where you live and what your doing with your life.... You may do the following to help improve this problem:
A List - One of the fist things you can do is right a list of things in your life, what you do all up lots of things even the small one, write a list of the good things in your life and the things you don’t want in your life. The write a list of things you don’t have but want, make them realistic. These could be simply picking up hobbies, going out and seeing friends more, earning more, learning something new, meeting people, doing something you always wanted to do and then anything else you’d like to change.
DO IT!! – Once you sorted out priorities in life you have to work for them! You can’t sit there complaining that you can’t get there if you don’t try. Work towards the things you want in life and you might not get everything but some. Live life to the fullest.

Stress
Stress is sometimes is just a part of life that you have to get there to get what you want back in return. Sometimes there’s isn’t much you can do but get what you have to do done. If you are stressed find some time for yourself, just to relax, it could be reading a book, drawing, other hobbies, etc, or just laying down. It can also help if you keep track of everything that need to be done so you don’t forget – Have a calendar with all the dates you need, have a list of everything you need to get done (AND DO IT), and do things the first chances you get don’t put things off like assignments or projects.

Unfortunate Event

This could be getting bad marks, losing friends, breaking up with a boyfriend/girlfriend, family problems, the basics, the ABC's of growing up, things you just learn to deal with. These things happen, someone you have to move on, sometimes to can solve it, the main thing is to learn from it to help improve next time you go through a similar situation. Take is as life experience, bad things happen. figure out what went wrong and let that help guide you in the future. Improve yourself, don't dull on the past and what happened, what happened happened you can't change the past. Do something that will make you happy to help move on, do something so it won't happen again, talk to someone about it.

Abuse Alcohol/ Drugs /Sex
Kk, abusing these things can lead to bad things, misfortune, depression, medical conditions, and so much more. If you can't get control of it yourself, seek help go to a guidance person - counselor/ therapist/ physcologist /etc.
'Drugs are bad' in fact bad doesn't isn't describe it, they can destroy your life, your dreams, your future. They could cause you to lose everything. If you take drugs, seek professional help and talk to people about it... Alcohol can be fun on a certain level of consumption, though alcoholism is a real problem and often cause people to feel depressed, for this also, seek help... Drink responsibly... Sex can be good, though, well use common sense, that the best advice I can give you there, don't abuse it either.

Past Trauma
This issues is a lot more than just ‘life’s sucks’ in general. If you do have had a traumatic event happen to you or something has happened to someone close to you should talk to someone about it as soon as you have time. Talk to someone close to you that you are able to share personal issues with, go to a therapist/ physcologist, it helps. The sooner you get help, the sooner you’ll feel better.

Medication?
Ok, medication isn’t always the best answer and unless necessary shouldn’t be taken but in some cases it can help until further help can be acquired.

1. Sometimes depression can be brought on by a chemical imbalance within the brain, I’m not an expert so I won’t go into detail “google” it if you want more info. Basically you can be lacking chemicals which bring on certain emotion like happiness, and sometimes you can have too much going on and it can throw people in series of emotions. Certain drugs can help balance what’s happening, helping you become happier.

2. Sometimes medication can help when people are really upset/ anxious, usually about certain things in their life – this is only a temporary solution only, it can help but in most cases you should find a more permanent solution.

There are also many other medication that you can research and if are interested should see your doctor about it to discuss them first before thinking of taking.

Enjoying the Misery
Some people might not understand this or why anyone would do it, but they do, you probably have without even knowing it. Sometimes people love to be upset, to thrive of it to give life energy. Something bad happens they’ll drag it on and on because they feel like they should be sad or simply because they enjoy complaining or maybe the attention, there could be several things. Sometimes people look for problems, cause the enjoy it they find it interesting. If you want to be happy you can’t do this, and when people help you can’t be like oh but it won’t work. You have to do something things don’t just fall into place the world doesn’t revolve around you. Sometimes you can do this without noticing though – when something bad happens you can be upset – but you have to set a limit where you have to force yourself to make it better. You have to move on... If you want to be happy you have to do something.


SHIT HAPPENS!!!
Deal with it.... If you’re feeling down or depressed, don’t expect things to fall into place make a change for the better. Sometimes you gotter suck it up and other times you have to fix it and sometimes you need someone else to turn too.You have to do something though, there are many different way to deal with things. So... JUST DO IT!
