The idea of having a longer school year has been suggested as a method to keep kids off the streets and also (hopefully) boost academic performance. Do you think this idea has merit?

it wont,it will just make more kids miserable and more kids will roam the street

If they do this then more kids would skip, and just not go to school, then fail and then drop out.
:P
