im always depending on my parents for money and feeling guilty about it.
i want to get a job but afraid it will take away from my social activities after school.
also heard that you may get tired, not have enough time for others, and etc.
do you think getting a job during high school is a good idea? or no?

I never personally had one, but I have a lot of friends that do/did and many have said they kinda regretted it and it made them really lose focus.

I didn't have one until after high school. Can I just give some free advice for the youngins' here...get a job where you can meet girls. My first job was working for a drug store and it sucked balls. If I could go back and do it again, I'd opt for a job at the mall.

I wouldn't recommend a job during high school.
Enjoy it while you can. You are still young so don't worry too much about getting money from your parents. Just make sure you do your chores.

Doing the job during high school, for me is good if we can cosentrate with our study. We must separate enough time to study and the same time doing a job. Actually its godd because we can learn the real experience with doing the job

Doind the job during high school, i agree if we do a job during high school. We can get experience when we do a job. But we must enough time to cosentrate the study. Time management is very important. We can do the job but make sure its not effect the study

i think you can still get job even you in high school because not every parent have good family economy and sometime its good for us to learn on how to seek for money. I think there are lots of way...me and my friends also still in college and start to think how to get money. We started to buy DSLR camera and run wedding photography service, customizing wedding album and more, and it helps us a lot. Why not you see this website and it might give you some ideas :>

I'm still at High School and I have a Saturday job (9 hour shift) as a Valet at an Arnold Clark branch, it brings in about ?30 each week. It is worth it but I'd advise not working during the week. As you get older, you'll lose social time, we got to put up with it i guess

im a junior in high school and go to one of those college prep schools. I work 2 jobs to help with my family. I work everyday, 5am-8am as a waitress at a diner then go to school then after school about 5pm to 10 as waitress/hostess at a country club and 8 1/2 hour shift at the diner on sat. and same on sun but with the country club. The moneys good, and i somehow manage to have a social life and mantain a 4.0. For you...try to only get a job like during the weekends...cuz i will say being able to have my own money and not have to ask my mom for any does make me feel like im being productive.
