I could use a little bit of help...

Okay, so about a month ago, I was chillin' with my boy Tyler (who smokes a lot of weed) and I was like, "hey bro, I want to see what being high feels like, let's go smoke." So we went, and smoked. The first time I didn't get high, so we smoked again the next day and I got HIGH as a kite. I loved it. I was in such a good mood, laughing at the dumbest things and just forgetting any problems. I did it another 2 times within about a 2 week time span.

I haven't done it since for the sole reason that I'm on vacation in Florida. I want to make sure I don't smoke any more weed because:

1.I don't want to get labeled

2.I don't want to get judged for it

3.I want to be straight-edge

4.I'm worried that I'll get addicted psychologically.

Any tips to keep me from resisting the temptation?

Try to find something that keeps your mind off that.
Video games, books, girls, anythng.

Most of my friends only do it at seshes so thats okay so maybe you should only do it at partys then you wont feel addicted. Like drink..

Let's see what I remember...

-Keep yourself busy, never be in a situation where you just "sit". Create a failsafe recreational option if the situation arises
-Keep scores of how well you are doing
-Write and read why you are doing it
-If possible, make a journal somewhere other people can see. That way your human pride makes you feel more responsible for surviving

Ginko, that's an interesting tactic to go about it. I might try it if I really have to. The only times I do it is when I'm with my boy Tyler because I know he loves it and a lot of the time we don't have much to do so he's like, "well, do you wanna smoke?" And I'm just like "FUCK IT, WE'LL DO IT LIVE!" (Search Bill O'reilly Freaks Out on Youtube for reference)

The best way for me to stop smoking weed is to start hanging out with different friends that don't do weed. Also play sports a lot to keep my mind off it.

get a job that drug tests you. that way you are being paid to quit. also if you are with your mate and he wants a smoke have a beer or something then you have something to do and you dont look like you are pussying out.

one very important thing is to make your friend promise not to let you smoke. if he is a good mate he will keep his promise so even if you want to he wont let you

but anyone who labels or judges people who smoke weed is an idiot and has never tried it, dont give them the time of day
