Do you really like reading books as an hobby?

I never liked reading books, but if I had to read it for school, I don't mind but for an hobby - I hate it. I find it extremley boring and can't stand it!

But I like reading news, tech articles, current events, magazines, newspaper - anything realistic and interesting I can read.

I don't like having to read something I find boring, but otherwise I do enjoy reading books (fiction and non-fiction) magazines, newpapers etc. :)

I used to like reading when I had plenty of times on my hand.
Lately, most of my reading is done online.

I love reading!

Not only is it, as you say, learning experience for you every time you open the page, it lets you see the world from many different perspectives, it lets you escape from the life you are living and it lets you shut everyone else out.

If it is a good book it also helps you to understand a little more about yourself or someone else, or a situation you are in.

I don't like reading boring fiction books, but give me an interesting nonfiction book, and I'll read it. I just can't stand history. I love reading magazines and articles and like the OP said -- anything realistic. :)

i used to hate reading books. big time. but i was sooo damn poor in literature that my best friend (who is a book freak) gave me manyy romance and fiction books to read. i HAD TO IMPROVE. so i read all of them. i enjoyed it soooo much that from then on, i became a fan of reading. its not like i read books whenever i am free. reading books take you away from reality. so, i do it when i need to relax myself, you know, take a break. So yea, i think reading books is a great hobby. BUT I SOOOO DONT LIKE READING TEXT BOOKS. WHO DOES?? :p

I Have a strong love for books, more than anything else really xD when i was nine, my sis gave me harry potter and the sorceres stone, i read it and from that i have read 600+ books form there, over 4 years. At school i recently took my gcse's for english literature (I took them this year, year 8, instead of year 11 because i bright) and got 3 gcse's from it which im pretty proud of. next year i hope to be doing a further gcse on english languege. But i dont just have a love for books but Romance is the genre which i grip my claws into xD i also enjoy poetry books, my favourite being metaphysical poems, there the best of the bunch!

I hate reading books. I don't have the patience to sit and read. I prefer to be out and about doing something rather than kicking back and relaxing with a book. I read magazines once in a while, but that's about it.

When I was a few years younger I always found reading to be stupid and boring. Not too long after I actually found out it was just because I was/am a very, very picky reader. When I find a book that I can get interested in in the first few pages, I'll read it. If I'm not interested in the first few pages I put the book back down.

I love reading, but I have always something to make on my computer rather than going to read. That's shitting -___-.
But when I start to read I can't stop.
